What we collect
When you use Councils AI, our server records:
- The question you bring to the council
- The council's response (the five advisor outputs and the Navigator's verdict)
- The timestamp of the request
- Any feedback you choose to send through the build-phase feedback form (text only)
Cloudflare, which hosts the app, also keeps standard server logs (IP address, request timing, user agent) for a short retention window. We do not pull these into our own records and we do not use them to identify you.
What we do not collect
- Your name (we do not ask)
- Your email (no signup is required)
- Any payment information (V0 is free)
- Cookies for tracking or advertising
- Precise location data
How we use it
- To run the app. Sending your question to the council requires processing it.
- To improve the app. We read the questions people bring (without identifying who brought them) so we can make the council better.
Who else sees it
- Anthropic. Your question and the council's response are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare. The app runs on Cloudflare Pages. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your questions with advertisers, marketers, or any third party not listed above.
What you can do
- Use the app without creating an account.
- Clear your browser storage to wipe any session data we may add later.
- Email hello@councilsai.co for a data deletion request.
What this app is not
Councils AI is a thinking tool, not professional advice. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or call 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date at the top and post a notice in the app.
